The 789 Ten Dubvision Progressive House Techniques V.2 TUTORIAL ZIP is a massive collection of one-shots and grooves for electronic music producers to use in their productions. Introduction After being away for months, I have decided that I wanted to do a new tutorial, more of a project than just one-shots of the same style of music. In this tutorial, I will be showing you how to produce a progressive house piece with a dark feel, that would work well in a club or party setting. We will take inspiration from Ten Walls and his music "Sparta", especially when it comes to drum elements. We will be using Ableton Live in this tutorial, and for the most part we will be using stock Ableton Live devices/plugins. Instrumentation Of The Track In this track we use 2 arpeggiators for the drums, 1 to play bass notes and another one to hold chords. We also use syncopated kick patterns in the drums, instead of playing them in real time. Â In the main melody played by a Saw wave sample, we use a clip-based sampler to play only a part of the melody, and then we use a filter cutoff to chop up that sound into different pitches. For this sampler I used Ableton's Impulse drum sampler. I usually use this sampler for bass sounds. In this tutorial, I will be using the same Impulse drum device for both drums and percussion. For effects on some of the samples, we also used some delay distortion on some of the parts. And finally on some of the chords we used distortion on some of them as well. The Tutorial Tracks 01. Progressiv House Groove - A simple 4 bar progressive house groove, but we will be varying the drum patterns and pitch/delay effects throughout the track. This track also contains a simple, but effective sub bass sound. 02. Sparta Kick - We are going to use the same Impulse drum sampler for this kick pattern. But instead of using pitched kicks, we are going to use different variations of the main kick sample by playing with pitch/delay/filter cutoff on it. 03. Percussion - For this percussion sequence, I used Ableton's Impulse drum sampler for both the snare and clap sounds. cfa1e77820
